These are my favorite picks from Kane’s Resort 2011 collection. I’m still not sick of the colorblocking so it seems. I think I like it more in this case because of the flower embellishments and the pairing of bright colors with silver and white. Needless to say, they kept things fresh. Not only with the clothes, but with the model as well. I found a lot of the lookbooks featured models with somewhat ‘distracting’ faces, taking away from the clothes.

california-native, adri law, nonchalantly captures what it means to be young. i admire the carefree spirit of the photos, as well as how effortless they all seem to be. the photos reflect a sense of freedom in experimentation with style, and the quirks and character of each person really come through in her shots. adri is quite the looker herself. you can catch her working with the cobrashop, making jewelry or shaking it at shows. for more photos, click here, and for lawls with law, you can chase her on twitter.

im stupid busy! im taking chinese everyday for summer school and working nights. although i may be the internet’s number one fan girl, i haven’t had much time to just surf the web. i must say, its been nice living without the vortex that sucks away precious time. but even though this hectic schedule is getting in the way, i’m working on some good posts, so please be patient with me! montreal’s summer is just getting started and soon enough, i’ll be blogging from china!

a bunch of pals and i got together to put on a “super dope” vintage sale. we held the event in jo’s lofty open space, called COAT CHECK. we ended up being about 17 or so people selling mostly vintage clothing, with a side of cupcakes and special cookies. alex joined in to sell his vintage taxidermy, HERCULES TAXIDERMY, which is so beautiful, and what is going straight to the top of my birthday wishlist.

unfortunately, three uninvited guests showed up; hail/snow/rain, but the turnout was still great! it made me really happy to see some of my most prized finds bringing smiles to strangers and friends. good music, laughs, marley the kitty, and a strict cookie diet made for a nice day. hopefully more of these to come!

here begins my warped tour 2010 coverage! and yes, i included some street style. i think im the first person to most successfully (and not mockingly) capture the GOOD style of the hardcore kids of warped tour. is this possible? to redeem myself for mostly posting menswear lately, here are two complete babes whos boots were made for moshing (or standing back and watching others do so).
