sunday was the official start of summer!!! all of montreal was out on the mountain having a blast, throwing frisbees, dancing to tam tams, and picnicking to the core. caught up with some of my best friends; yuchi (my handsome best bro) and rachel (who is living up the model life right now! so proud).

im not even sure if these two girls know each other or not, but as a camo lover, i thought it would be nice to take a duo photo! i pulled them aside from the doc martens montreal shop launch party and tadaaa! these lovelies were so pleasant to shoot.

baby nicky does it again with his miraculous diy! this time he took his favorite pants and added some bold, masculine polka dots. i particularly like the back, because its not overkill and makes the pants even more interesting. lots of knits to keep warm, and some earth tones to keep it nicky.

hands down, whilst skimming through all the prefall collections, carven was the chosen one. too many other collections either had a little too much going on (like acne) or not enough going on (like the flop that was jil sander). i like this back to school, nerd fever, super well tailored thing they have going. getting dressed like this isn’t even difficult as long as you have the right pieces. it actually makes life a lot easier. whatever it takes to get me out of the house quicker in the morning, not looking like a mess, works for me!

sometimes i think for too long, i blink twice, and then the person is gone! if i see you once and don’t get your photo, it’s a missed opportunity. if i see you twice, then i just have to ask. wondering how one should go about wearing white pants? simple ..or at least this man makes it look so.

These are my favorite picks from Kane’s Resort 2011 collection. I’m still not sick of the colorblocking so it seems. I think I like it more in this case because of the flower embellishments and the pairing of bright colors with silver and white. Needless to say, they kept things fresh. Not only with the clothes, but with the model as well. I found a lot of the lookbooks featured models with somewhat ‘distracting’ faces, taking away from the clothes.

california-native, adri law, nonchalantly captures what it means to be young. i admire the carefree spirit of the photos, as well as how effortless they all seem to be. the photos reflect a sense of freedom in experimentation with style, and the quirks and character of each person really come through in her shots. adri is quite the looker herself. you can catch her working with the cobrashop, making jewelry or shaking it at shows. for more photos, click here, and for lawls with law, you can chase her on twitter.

courtesy of a stylecaster team, 50 new yorkers were curated for a list of the most stylish, and those who embody the livelihood of the big apple. from all walks of life, from editorial to retail, beauty, music and beyond, the 50 were beautifully captured by stefani pappas. here are my fave five, but to see them all click HERE. i think this idea is incredible! it would be interesting to do the same for montreal. maybe i’ll make it a little project of mine once i have studio access again in the fall.
