converse ss12

remember when you were 13 and rocked your converse like you were the most badass thing on the block, when in reality, you were just a scrawny, awkward dweeb? my high school pals and i would literally wear them till you could barely even tell they used to be a pair of fully functioning shoes. they were like trophies, representing all the moshpits we had survived. in any case, we’ve cleaned up a bit, thank god.

the pals at converse are still sticking with similar silhouettes from fw11, so the same double combo of boatshoe~esque but still rugged skater vibe. i think all of these shoes would look great once worn in. they had a few collabs going too: jack purcell (7), john varvatos (8), marvel comics, gorillaz (9) and the swedish brand, marimekko (4). one of my favorite pairs was the grey auckland racers (last photo) which would look perfect with some rolled jeans and a crisp button down. very clean. all in all, i left with a cute pair of classic converse, a brain freeze (from the delish drinks), and a smile (thanks to the forever friendly converse crew).
