courtesy of a stylecaster team, 50 new yorkers were curated for a list of the most stylish, and those who embody the livelihood of the big apple. from all walks of life, from editorial to retail, beauty, music and beyond, the 50 were beautifully captured by stefani pappas. here are my fave five, but to see them all click HERE. i think this idea is incredible! it would be interesting to do the same for montreal. maybe i’ll make it a little project of mine once i have studio access again in the fall.
(1) jenne lombardo, the terminal presents (2) leandra medine, manrepeller (3) jeff laub, the blind barber (4) leigh lezark, dj and model (5) marina munoz, stylist (6) luigi tadine, paper magazine

vice magazine apparently thinks goldzmine readers are of the good looking sort, and i’m thinking this hunch is right. richard kern held a casting in toronto, and as vice put it so perfectly, “everyone in montreal lost their shit -“why did he not visit montreal ôstie?!”. best for last, kern is now heading to montreal and holding an open casting call of sorts. in case you’re not familiar, the photographer and filmmaker has shot for herve leger, vice, purple, gq and the list goes on. known for his nitty gritty approach, he’s looking for anyone who fits the “KERN” look. details for the casting call can be found HIER.

to keep it simple: i think mixtapes are really cute. ive always been fond of taking your time to make something for someone. i made a playlist of songs (for YOU!) that are nice to listen to, while you let your face remember what it feels like to soak up some sun, sit outside and eat some frozen yogurt. picnic season is right around the corner, and i am so bloody excited. to download the mixtape, click HERE.

a bunch of pals and i got together to put on a “super dope” vintage sale. we held the event in jo’s lofty open space, called COAT CHECK. we ended up being about 17 or so people selling mostly vintage clothing, with a side of cupcakes and special cookies. alex joined in to sell his vintage taxidermy, HERCULES TAXIDERMY, which is so beautiful, and what is going straight to the top of my birthday wishlist.

unfortunately, three uninvited guests showed up; hail/snow/rain, but the turnout was still great! it made me really happy to see some of my most prized finds bringing smiles to strangers and friends. good music, laughs, marley the kitty, and a strict cookie diet made for a nice day. hopefully more of these to come!
i’ve come down with a.. TERRIBLE GOD KNOWS WHAT that makes my nose leak all over and cough all over and sneeze all over. seasonal allergies, is that you? despite that fact, my mind is on nothing but spring/summer and good weather. not exactly a good thing when you’re in finals. don’t get me wrong, i’m not spending my time playing outside, i’m just google-imaging photos of people playing outside. same diffy. here’s a music video from montreal’s THE BREEZES which also allows me to experience pleasurable sunny days from my cozy bed ..and not so cozy desk.

enamoured by this colour today. i like the soft and feminine colours working with a more relaxed, boyfriend fit. my ultimate favourite is the leather vest from acne in the first look. acne – 3.1 phillip lim – acne
