one of my favorite dj/producers ever has dropped yet another bomb. his latest masterpiece “arnold classics” was released a few days ago on sinden’s record label: grizzly. also to add on brodinski news, he has formed a new group THE KRAYS with fellow dj, yuksek. they teamed up with the creative and talented brit, ebony bones to come up with this neat disco electro rubber sound.

its always nice to carry around something in which you can pour out your genius into. i bought a muji notebook and pen when i was in the uk in january and my lists, doodles of things and people i met still make me smile. next i want a nice moleskine or something similar. but now for fashion students and professionals, there is the FASHIONARY; a sketchbook catering to fashion designers and those aspiring. im honestly baffled at how much they squeezed into this small little grey book. there are 34 pages of information, which includes everything from measuring charts to textile info. following this is 130 pages of figures to sketch designs onto.

‘Ye is back. and with the way everyone is praising him on twitter, i could word it, the king is back. his leaked comeback song entitled POWER features samples from the uk rock group king crimson. also to note, kanye swept autotune under the carpet and is back to rapping the way he used to. dwele brings the song to an end with his singing. mr. west’s album GOOD ASS JOB is said to be released in september. he also unleashed a new version of his blog: KANYE WEST.

the concept is best worded by the company themselves: “part sustainable water company, part art project, part philanthropic project, and completely curious. BOXED WATER IS BETTER, is a boxed water company”. ~76% of the cartons are made from renewable resources and can also be flattened easily, making them easier to transport. not to mention, these better-for-the-environment cartons have a sleek design with a solid black font overtop a white background. i would buy it! in fact, i wish every drink in my fridge looked like this.

here is the deal: i really like asian culture. i went to marianopolis college which means i basically felt like i was in beijing everyday for 2 years and ive also had a lot of asian exchange students growing up. i can even make some really good sushi! now my bestie (whos drinking bubble tea up there with me) took chinese classes all year long and will soon be off to beijing university for the summer- im going to miss her so much! i wanted to make you readers aware of how good asian, especially korean k-pop, music really is. look at videos from: super junior, lee hyori, 2ne1, wondergirls, bigbang etc. they always have the best clothes and a really good pop sound!

from a previous post about Nu Ravers On The Block, you might be familiar with MR.ED, who now has a side project of his own. under the name PANTON, ed is unleashing the SOMEDAY EP on southern fried records (joining the likes of arman van helden, crookers, malente, the black ghosts). accompanying our long summer nights, PANTON gives us breezy tech and electro house to twirl to. im a huge fan of strong tech house songs, especially to be played in sweaty after hours- so “do it” has to be one of my favorites from the EP. and favela is sure to bring down the house at any party. take a listen and purchase what you love at beatport. upcoming remixes to watch out for but what i can give you is the PANTON TECHNOID mixtape.

Sinden (Grizzly) on Favela
“Really liked Favela by the way. Im playing that!”

Dubbel Dutch on SOMEDAY EP
I like all of the Panton tracks! Really awesome..

Felix Cartal (Dim Mak) on Someday
“bigggggg rooooooooooooom. deep”

tshirt: adieu, scarf: primark (uk), sneakers: supra

it dramatically just got way hotter here in montreal, it was 32 degrees today or something. so not scarf weather, but i totally wanted to try tying it into the bow as depicted above. and hot pink looks good with a tan! not to mention i graced you with a picture of my beloved bag of candy (little things makes me happy). oh, and meet my dog! roxy, shes the bestest. the sneakers i found in my closet, along with a ton of others in my sneaker cemetery. they are aoki supra’s i got from off the hook a while ago. by the way- you probably noticed i made some changes to the site, which might be temporary until i come up with something else!

photos from I LOVE NEON’s 12th birthday. jfk, st. mandrew and cherry cola played at studio juste pour rire. it was not the greatest show, but at least i got to admire that greasy/ magnificent head of hair from up close backstage and eat some hella good cupcakes.

Slayer – Raining Blood (SEXISTALK Remix)

Guns N Roses – Welcome to the Jungle (DJ DLG Remix)

so school turned me into a full fledged zombie. those eyes are not even coloured in with white in paint, that’s all me. anyhow, im totally done with all of that- and freedom feels good! well i havent actually done anything so far, except sleep a helluvalot. anyhow this is the kind of blouse/material i think will be my summer staple. this is also my first post of one of my zipia purchases! i was really happy with what i got, so now i will proceed to buying more. but ive also just recently set up a paypal account, so i went a bit crazy on ebay. good news though: my cdg bids succeeded! cant wait to get that in the mail! bonus: download the most badass remixes ^ that have been hiding on my computer for quite some time. appropriately greeted by the most adorable swedish rep for FILIPPA K, also swedish, i perused through the current collection. and by perused, i mean cozying up to some of the cutest knits when no one was looking. emma told me she has been wearing filippa k all her life and remembers growing out of many a pair of jeans, so it was pretty natural that she stay loyal to the brand and become a pr rep. i enjoyed both the mens and the womens pieces and i found it really easy to imagine which kind of persons could be seen in this clothing. the image of really clean, goodlooking and sophisticated 20 or 30 something individuals came to mind. basically, what i strive to be in the future. yes, clean, goodlooking and sophisticated. check the pictures, you’ll get what i mean! my favourites for the guys was the salt and pepper sweater with brown elbow patches. as for women, i am going through this massive adoration phase for silky blouses- i just cant get enough. paired with the knits, its wonderful!
